w/rotating night & weekend call

Summary: Takes medical images, transports patients and provides other routine assistance to radiology staff by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Takes medical diagnostic images.
Reviews images for proper identification and quality check.
Prepares images for reading by the ordering physician and the interpreting radiologist.
Transports patients to radiologic diagnostic procedures.
Schedules appointments and follow-up visit.
Receives and stores incoming supplies.
Counts stock and helps to maintain inventory records.
Processes records of radiologic procedures performed, computes charges and enters data in computer.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with an accredited radiology technology program.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic word processing software and database software.

Certificates and Licenses:
Must be RT (R) (ARRT) registered.
Must have or be eligible for a State of Nebraska License in Medical Imaging.
CT experience preferred 
Mammography a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
