Team will complete design, cost estimate for a new facility

The possibility of a new hospital for Chase County took another step forward Tuesday  with action by the hospital board.
On Monday, the board members interviewed four finalists to complete a   design and cost estimate for a new hospital.
Following a recess of Monday’s meeting, board members voted unanimously Tuesday to
select the team of Adolfson & Peterson Construction of Aurora, Colo., and Davis Partnership Architects of Denver (AP/Davis).
The hospital is working closely with the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a funding source for the new hospital.
Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH) Administrator Steve Lewis said USDA offers some of the lowest financing available for hospital projects.
The hospital must meet specific USDA guidelines to keep it eligible for funding.
One of the requirements calls for interviewing companies interested in providing the design and construction.
