COVID-19 Rapid Tests Available Here to Symptomatic Patients

Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH) now offers in-house COVID rapid testing using the Abbott ID Now System, said Linda Nelson, CCCH respiratory therapist.
The results are reported in less than an hour, she said.
Based on comparison studies with Nebraska Public Health Laboratory, testing is 98.4% accurate.
This test is used for patients who are symptomatic and are being seen in the clinic or emergency room.
It does require a doctor’s order to have the test done at CCCH. Otherwise, the general public is encouraged to register at https://www.Test if they would like to make an appointment to be tested, Nelson said.
A symptomatic patient that is suspected of having COVID-19 can be tested at CCCH.
Symptoms and/or situations that could indicate COVID (with the absence of another diagnosis) can be:
Exposure to the virus through close contact with an individual suspected of or confirmed to have COVID-19, or
Current residence in or recent travel to a place where transmission of COVID-19 is known to occur.
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported, ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness.
