Updated COVID-19 Vaccination Information 1/5/2021

The status of the COVID-19 Vaccination Program changes daily!  The Chase County Community Hospital was asked and agreed to assist the SWNPHD with the next Phase - 1b.

Phase 1a: CCCH anticipates that we will have administered the COVID-19 vaccinations to all interested Phase 1a recipients (Healthcare Personnel & Long-term Care Facility Residents) here in Chase County by this Thursday, January 7th.  We have communicated this information to the Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department.

Phase 1b: SWNPHD has asked us to assist them in screening, scheduling and administering remaining vaccines to Phase 1b residents of Chase County - those who are 75 years and older.

CCHS will begin administering these Phase 1b vaccinations on Tuesday, January 19th from 1:30 to 3:30 at 1233 Grant St, Imperial NE 69033, the intersection of Grant St & 13th St (Ambulance Barn-Enter from 13th street)

For those who are 75 and over, or those who met the qualifications in Phase 1a, who would like to be scheduled to receive the vaccination, please contact our Infection Prevention Nurse - Kay Schmidt @ (308) 882-7217 or Email:  Our supply is limited so appointments are required prior to arrival.  Current call volume is high so please leave a voice message with your name and phone number and Kay will return your call at her earliest opportunity to schedule your appointment.  Please leave only one message and trust that your call will be returned in the order it was received.

SWNPHD will be administering vaccinations to the rest of the people who are included in Phase 1b: Frontline essential workers such as fire fighters, police officers, corrections officers, food and agricultural workers, United States Postal Service workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, and those who work in the educational sector (teachers, support staff, and daycare workers.)

Finally, we do not yet know when phase 1c will be implemented but will certainly communicate any and all information relating to this as soon as we have it.
