Alzheimer’s Awareness this month

Chase County Clinic is celebrating Alzheimer’s Awareness this month. On June 21, people from across the world wore purple to symbolize the fight to find a cure for Alzheimer's.

Alzheimer’s by the numbers:
- Alzheimer’s disease is a global epidemic.
-Worldwide, 55 million people are living with dementia.
-Alzheimer’s kills more individuals than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.
-Currently, there are more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s.
-There are more than 11 million family and friends providing care to people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias in the United States.
