March - COLON CANCER Awareness Month
Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the United states. Every March, National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month spotlights this disease and inspires more people to get colonoscopies, starting at the age of 45.
Two reasons why getting a screening colonoscopy matters:
• Screening can find the warning signs of colon and rectal cancer, letting doctors take action to prevent the disease.
• Screening can also find colorectal cancer early, when treatment is most effective.
Dr. Davis is a General Surgeon and the Trauma Medical Director at UCHealth in Greeley, Colorado. He has been taking care of patients in our community for over 15 years! He comes to the Chase County Community Hospital & Clinics 1-2 times every week to see patients in the Specialty Clinic. He also performs surgeries and procedures including colonoscopies.
A missed or delayed screening colonoscopy gives colorectal cancer a chance to grow and become more dangerous long before symptoms appear. Call the Specialty Clinic today to schedule your screening colonoscopy with Dr. Davis! (308) 882-7256.
